Here is an old windmill and an old barn in Grant Ranch. There is a brief 45 mile per hour stretch in the middle of the park. It doesn't last long.

This is peeking out over the yellow foothills are Rattlesnake Butte (3460 feet) to the right and Mount Day (3869 feet) is to the left. This is near the western boundary of the park. Soon the road reaches a crest, where you can clearly see the valley again.
