This bridge was done in 1988.
This is the end of the part of 85 built by
San
José. This section has concrete pavement and stereotypical
Caltrans signs. It
is built below the ground level of surrounding neighborhoods (for less
noise
pollution.) At first this section had a narrow, dirt strip divider
which
wasn't enough for the fast drivers 85 had at first. Before Silicon
Valley
boomed in 1998 and traffic got very bad, this was a race track of
sorts. 85
North from here to about Camden has an irregular ride that makes you
wonder
if something is wrong with your car.
This is south of Camden Avenue.
This is before Camden Avenue. This is by the Meridian Avenue undercrossing.
This is just past Camden Avenue. This is before the Leigh Avenue undercrossing. This area was not as cleared out in the 1980s.
