Highway 85 South in California

Note the heavy bridge work in progress in late 2003. These bridges were originally built in 1993 - 1994. The carpool to carpool interchange opened in October 2004. This section is wider now.

These last four photos are from 6/18/2005, and they show the carpool lane interchange to US101 South. This carpool lane interchange runs 24 hours a day.

This was not an original part of the interchange which was built in 1994. This came about ten years later.

From here you merge directly into US101 South's diamond lane.

Soon after this the diamond lanes bottleneck into one lane, and here you are on US101 South.
