Interstate 5 North in Los Angeles County
Trevor Carrier emailed me these two next photos from his friend
Allison. Note how different this area can look depending on the season
compared to the above photo. The 138 LA Metropolitan bypass freeway was
never built. This is from 12/2006. The landscape gets drier about 1000'
before this photo. This is about Mile 199.

This is about Mile 200, just past 138. The hills were definitely
turning green this day.
