Mile 193
Here I80 is beginning to climb Golconda Summit. This is the lowest pass in Eastern Nevada. From here on I80 is high up in Nevada.

Mile 197
This is going down Golconda Summit. This is looking towards Valmy. This is the only time I've ever seen Golconda Summit with any snow at the top.

Mile 199
Golconda Summit is 5154'. This picture is taken looking at the Shoshone Range. This was taken in January 1998 when snow cover was extreme. Note the snow along the road cut to the left, rarely will you see snow along this pass unless it is actually snowing.
