This is the very first photo I ever took of I80. This was taken on slides on 1/20/1990. I had to get a slide scanner to get this online. This is before Taylor Road in Rocklin.

This is JCT highway 65, which is not complete from here to its current northern terminus near Visalia. It is a proposed freeway to run across the eastern edge of the Central Valley. It runs north of here and some of it is a freeway. It used to be US99E to the north.
Also about Penryn I80 enters a long section of hills and mountains that does not end until Interstate 76 in western Nebraska.
